Producer David Levy, A.K.A. Out to Lunch, traveled the world to discover and produce musicians living in refugee camps and post-conflict countries for his last project, The World United in Song (PeaceTones). Out to Lunch is now presenting one of these artists, Etson Caminha. Etson hails from the small island of Timor-Leste (East Timor) where his childhood was consumed by his country’s fight for independence. With independence won in 2002, Etson was free to create. Out to Lunch Presents Etson has given Etson the space to do just that. The album’s infectious grooves spanning world music, reggae, hiphop, and funk will keep you dancing. Out to Lunch Presents Etson also pushes the bounds of creativity — the whole album is written in a language that was invented for this album. Etson’s debut with Out to Lunch is undoubtedly a tour de force that hits both the mind and feet.
